About the Contributors

Diversity of scholarship describes the essay and study note contributors to the HCSB Study Bible.

Each contributor is an expert in their respective field of study. Contributors include presidents, provosts, pastors, professors and best-selling authors.

Three feature length articles focus on How to Read and Study the Bible; Origin, Transmission and Canonization of the New Testament Books; and Origin, Transmission, and Canonization of the Old Testament Books.

Additional essays – many of which are unique in the study Bible setting – include apologetics, theology, civil rights, missions, gender issues and church life.

The study notes are designed to set historical and canonical context, as well as approach issues with balance – again, why we believe that diversity of scholarship is crucial to a study Bible.

You’ll find contributors from churches, church entities, seminaries, colleges and universities represented here – each with their respective biography and educational background.
